울진 개들을 소개합니다 #3
울진 개농장 안쪽 견사에는 도사견 아닌 개들이 있습니다. 제일 안쪽에 있던 다리 셋인 흰색 개와, 늠름한 모습이었던 보더콜리는 산불이 난 지 얼마 되지 않아 입양이 되었습니다. 그리고 나머지 개들은 그때와 같은 자리에서 변함 없는 모습으로 하루하루를 보냅니다. 하루 두 번의 식사 외에는 아무 일도 일어나지 않는 날들. 우리에게와 똑같이 스물네 시간이 주어지지만, 그들의 시간은 훨씬 더딜 수밖에 없습니다.
검은색과 베이지색 털이 섞인 이 개는 밥을 주거나 물을 주려고 그쪽 견사 가까이 가기만 해도 철창에 코를 들이밀며 냄새를 맡고 손을 핥습니다. 문을 좁게 열고 안쪽으로 몸을 들여넣으면 앞발로 팔을 끌어당기고 잡아채며 온몸으로 반가움을 표합니다. 철창으로 된 바닥이지만, 그 위를 겅중겅중 뛰며 더할 수 없을 만큼 열렬하게 맞이합니다. 그리고 난 뒤의, 밥그릇을 가지고 노는 것밖에 할 수 없는 긴 긴 하루.

Faces of Uljin Dogs #3
There are dogs other than Tosa dogs at the inner part of the dog farm. A white dog with three legs and a Border Collie were adopted shortly after the forest fire broke out. Since that time, the rest have spent their days in the same place, each in a cage. During the days, nothing happens except having two meals a day. They are given 24 hours just like us, but their time is much slower.
The black and beige-haired dog in this video licks my hands when I get close to her cage. When I open the door and move inside, she pulls and grabs my arms with her front feet and expresses joy with her whole body. On a wired floor, she bounces and greets me with more enthusiasm than she can add. After that, a long day passes by when she can only play with her bowl.
Would you please give her the pleasure of running around with her whole body? Would you please give her more time to feel warmth and love from others? Please look into her eyes, and give her a helping hand. She will fill your heart more than anyone else.
