작고, 품종견이 아니라는 이유로 국내에선 임시보호 가정조차 구하기 힘든 믹스 종과 대형견아이들.
구조한 아이들이 입양을 가야, 또 구조를 할 수 있기 때문에 비용이 크게 들어도 해외 입양을 갈 수밖에 없습니다. 보호소는 아무리 좋아도 감옥이니까요. 개라는 동물이 야생에서 자유로이 살 수 있는 환경이 아닌 이상, 개는 반려동물로 살아가는 것이 최상입니다.
미도와 라도 형제가 무서운 쇠망치가 있는 도살장에서 살아남았습니다.
천방지축 아무 것도 몰랐던 어린 미도와 라도. 그나마 어려서 공포에 대한 기억이 많이 자리 잡지 않았고 비교적 빨리 입양을 갈 수 있었습니다.
미도와 라도 같은 아이들이 국내에서는 입양가기 어려운 현실. 개고기 보다 어쩌면 이 잘못 자리 잡은 반려견 문화는 더 오래 갈지도 모르겠습니다.

A strong preference for small-sized or purebred dogs is a harsh reality we must face here in Korea. It is even extremely difficult for large-sized mixed dogs to find a foster home for a brief stay. Nor could we keep all of them in shelters forever: not only because we always need free space for rescuing other dogs, but also because living as pets with a loving family will be the best scenario for them.
Here are lucky siblings, Mido and Rado, who survived the slaughterhouse and managed to find their adoptive families very quickly. The fact that they were too young to be affected by their dark past memories must have been a great help.
However, there are still hundreds of large-sized mixed dogs, like Mido and Rado, who are not particularly injured or do not have a dramatic story to draw public attention. It is very difficult for them to be sent for adoption or to raise funds. We need your support to help these rescue dogs.
